1998 – 1

= Om Gurumayiji =

April/May 1998, New Delhi  –  Guru Gita as a dialogue, Contemplating Scriptures, Guru the Conscious Self, See the Self as Everything and as Within, Manifest the Guru Within, Being Worthy of the Guru, Thinking of the Guru

Numerous contemplations were offered during this time period. Details as below:

First

Question offered in contemplation: ‘If the Self, God, the true secret of Shri Guru Gita, resides in the Guru Gita as its central force, then how is the recitation of the Guru Gita a dialogue with the Self?’

Response as emerged within from Shri Guru then:

“By reading the Guru Gita we are offering the glory of the Guru, the glory of the Gita, and describing the beauty of the Guru, to God, to the Self, as a great offering of love.

In response the Self bestows on us the highest bliss.

That is the dialogue.”

Second

After a talk by one Mr. Paul, following question was offered: ‘Chanting of Guru Gita simulates a process of revelation within. How did Paul’s lecture give a new insight to how this happens?’

Response from Shri Guru as emerged within right then:

“Paul had said that the revelation by Q & A occurs as an impulse in Divine Consciousness.

When we chant the Guru Gita we are repeating exactly the same impulses and allowing the experiences flowing from these inputs to permeate our being, particularly by keeping total focus on Shri Guru throughout for She is no other than Shiva, our inner Self, the greatest and deepest Shakti.”

Third

Question contemplated was, “How does a contemplative study of scriptures differ from normal study?”

Response from Shri Guru as emerged within then:

“In routine day to day study we focus only on how to handle the physical and material world. This only confines us to many limitations.

“Whereas, by the contemplative study of scriptures we allow them to become alive in us, to realize what we truly are, and to thereafter address and work in the day-to-day world from that realization, from that understanding, from that peace, from that bliss, from that love.

“That is the only way we can be joyous under any situation.”

Fourth

Prayer and question offered was: “O great illustrious being, divine beyond compare, salutations and salutations to Thee. Pray tell me, O Guru, how can I enforce the belief that the Guru is not different from the conscious Self, how can I make it my duty to seek Shri Guru?”

Response as emerged within from Shri Guru:

“By following your heart, for I am there in your heart and I will be guiding you to everything.

“I will guide you to Shri Guru. I will guide you to your oneness with the Absolute.

“Do not listen to others, follow your heart.”

Fifth

The following question was prayerfully offered to Shri Guru:

“O immense Lord, most beautiful and sublime, great beyond compare, salutations to Thee. Pray tell me, O Lord, how can I live with the understanding that the state of the unbroken sphere of totality of Absolute Consciousness that pervades everything, and is composed of both animate and inanimate objects, is within me?

How can I see you everywhere, in every form, in everything?”

Emerging response within from Shri Guru:

“By becoming Me.

“By becoming one with Me.

“For I am all that exists. I am everything.

“Become one with Me and I will make you everything.

“I will be there everywhere. In every moment, in every situation, in eating, sleeping, walking, talking – look for Me. Search Me. I am there. I will be there. I will reveal Myself. I will make you one with Me.

“Always be alert. Always be on the lookout for Me. For I am truly everywhere.

“And it is I who will guide your every step till you become Me.”

Sixth

The following question was prayerfully offered within myself to Shri Guru: “In what way can I go within to allow the manifestation of the Guru within myself?”

Inner response from Shri Guru:

“By singing My name. By taking My name.

“By making yourself resolute. By making yourself worthy. By cleansing your vessel.    “By making yourself strong so that you can hold Me and My grace.”

Seventh

The following question was prayerfully offered within to Shri Guru: “O illustrious One who is full of all the delightful qualities, salutations to Thee. Pray tell me how can I become worthy of Shri Guru, how I can become pure and of a state fit to serve the Guru?’

Emerging response within from Shri Guru:

“I have told you before – become one with Me.

“Be resolute, be full of love, follow the practices, do the practices daily.

“Be bold, do not be shy. Be strong. Be true. And above all be humble. Be very very humble.

“Love me and all of My creation. For it is I who am everything. It is I who have this Universe as My body.

“It is I who am the Guru, and above all it is I who am Chidvilasananda.

“So worship Me with all your love, with all your heart, with all your strength, and with your whole being.

“Do what I say and I will surely make you Mine.

“Have no doubts. Have no fears. You are very dear to Me.”

Eighth

“How can I manage to do the Guru Gita daily?”

Emerging response from Shri Guru:

“With discipline.”

Ninth

A prayer to Shri Guru placed within requested a revelation or message from the Guru.

Emergent response from Shri Guru:

“You must thirst for me. You must long for Me.

“Because of Me you exist. Because of Me you are everything.

“So, thirst for Me like you have thirsted for nothing else. Long for Me at every second.

“When you wake up, move about, or eat or sleep – at every moment long for Me. Think of me and only of Me.

“Then, and only then, will I reveal to you that I am in you and you are in Me. And then I will make you one with Me.”

28 August 1998, New Delhi  –  Experiencing Bhagwan Nityananda in Life

Question to the Master placed within myself:

‘O great and noble one, Shri Guru, blessed and beyond compare, salutations at Thy lotus feet. Pray tell me, O Guru, how do I experience Bhagwan Nityananda in my life?

“How do I know him; how do I approach him? How am I protected and loved by Him?’

The response as emerged from Shri Guru:

“You know Him through Me

You approach Him through Me.

You know Him through My love for you.

You experience Him through My protection of you.

“For I am the light of your soul.

I am the strength of your heart.

I am your very being.

And I am Him and He is Me.

That is how you know Him.

“Know that whenever, however, you experience Me,

You actually experience Him.”

06 Sep 1998. New Delhi  –  Dealing with Situations

Contemplating a very unsavory domestic incident, I then put the following question to my inner Self.

“O Lord, great being. Humble salutations to Thee. Pray tell me, O Lord, what is the new understanding that this contemplation gives to me?”

Answer emerged (with some difficulty) and was:

“You could have kept your mouth shut.

“No matter what the provocation, how grave the provocation, how insulting and how demeaning – you could have kept your mouth shut and removed yourself from the scene.”

06 Sep 1998, New Delhi  –  What are My blockages

Q.  “Pray tell me, O Lord, O Master, O beloved source of all creation, pray tell me what are my inner blockages. How can I recognise them so that they can dissolve?”

Response (as emerged immediately) from the Master:

“Your blockages are your stupidity, your indulgences, your wasteful habits. These are your problem areas.

Recognise them – your stupidities, your indulgences, your wasteful habits.

Recognise them. Work on them.

They will then dissolve.

“In many respects you are very beautiful. But these are your limitations.

Let them go.

They will leave you.

This is my assurance.

This is my promise.”

06 Sep 1998. New Delhi  –  Transforming ourselves through Contemplations

Q. I was contemplating a teaching of Shri Guru that from every contemplation every particle of my being should be transformed; it should change. The question submitted within to the lotus feet of the master was:

‘O great Lord, noble Master, salutations to Thee. O mighty Master beyond compare, salutations to Thee. Tell me, O Lord, how should my being be transformed after every contemplation. ‘har rom rom mein parivartan kaisay karun?’

The Master’s response that emerged was:

“Firstly, write it down. Write down every word.

Then read it. Study it.

“Again and again, read it.

Absorb it.

It will become a part of you and you will become a part of it.

“Then it will transform you by itself. You will not have to do anything more.

But this you will have to do. This much alone will alter you, change you, improve you.

SGNMKJ”

06 Sep1998 New Delhi  –  What is my Shaktipat Experience, how Shaktipat Experience can be used for Transformation Within

I offered a contemplation based on my shaktipat experience thus:

“O most noble master, Shri Guru, most blessed and compassionate, most wondrous Master, salutations ‘o Thee.  Pray tell me, O Lord, what is my shaktipat experience? How can I use it in Thy service? How can I use it to dissolve my inner blockages, my weaknesses, my negativities?’

Response by Shri Guru as emerged from within was:

“I am your shaktipat experience.

I am what you feel.

I have entered you and filled you completely.

I am unfolding in you. I am working in you.

When you experience meditation, you experience Me.

When you chant you experience Me.

The bliss and joy welling up inside you is Me.

I am the smile on your face, the tears in your eyes. I am the pain, I am the joy.

I am you.

“This is your shaktipat experience.

“You can use your shaktipat experience of Me only by respecting Me.

You can remove your weaknesses only by respecting Me.

You have to listen to Me.

You have to do what I say.

You have to pray to Me.

You have to be disciplined towards Me.

You have to be self controlled at all times.

Then only can I (as your shaktipat experience) work for you.

So, listen to Me.

Follow Me.

Adhere to Me.

Only then can shaktipat protect you. Not otherwise.

Sad Guru Nath Maharaj ki Jai”.
