1999 – 2

15 Sep 1999, New Delhi  –   Trusting the Guru, Leaving everything to the Guru

(Meditative cum Contemplative Experience). A very difficult period of my life. Meditation was very confused. My problems were weighing on my mind. In a confused state I set the aim of meditation as offering the problems at the lotus feet of Shri Guru and praying to Her to bestow Her grace to help me resolve them. The dharanas that arose were in both English and Hindi.  About thirty minutes after I got up, as I was sitting quietly, the following suddenly emerged from the Master, unusually in Hindi.

English translation, as done by me, is placed below the Hindi text.

The Master’s words that emerged in response were:

मैं हूँ न I

English translation of the above (translated by me):

“When everything is being done by Me, then what is it that you have to do?

You live your life in happiness.

You remain in bliss.

That is all.

This question, and others, you have already asked Me earlier.

Now how many times are you going to ask all this again?

I do not like all this.

Your works will keep getting done.

You keep improving yourself.

Leave at least something to Me.

Have at least some faith in Me.

I am here, no?

Other than Me you need nothing else.

And you have already received Me.

So, stay in love.

Stay in peace.

Stay in happiness.

Stay in bliss.

Everything is all right.

Everything is very good.

You are also all right.

You are also all right.

You are also all right.

19 Sep 1999, New Delhi  –  Why we visit Ashrams, Why we read texts, Why we do Dharmic Practices

Prayer to the Master:

‘O Lord, most beloved and precious, pray tell me why do we come to the Ashram every week? Why do we read texts and do the religious and dharmic practices?’

Flow from the Master, as then emerged:

“You come here because you love Me. It is only your love for Me and Mine for you that brings you here.

“Though your home is also My home, yet the impetus to your sadhna, the spurt in your love, that you get here is enormous. It is unparalleled. It is supported by Me in as direct a way as possible. You feel whole, joyous, serene.

“You dip into My love and ecstasy. Here you feel My power for it is My home.

“That is why you come here every week.

“You read texts and other swadhyaya and practices because your thoughts, words and actions in seva are the means by which you honour Me.  As you keep honouring Me, I become a part of you.

“You do not actually read a text. You read Me. I am the text.

“How much closer can you get to Me than this?”

30 Sep 1999, GSP

In the morning I was fortunate to have darshan of Shri Guru. The darshan was contemplated later, in the evening. The question placed at the lotus feet of the Master within myself was as follows:

‘In darshan today what was my experience? What was the understanding I got?’

Emergent Response from Shri Guru:

“All your thoughts came to an end as soon as you reached in front of Me, and I merged into the stillness that came upon you then.

“If I had looked into you, or at you, you would not have been able to handle it.

So, it is better this way.

“Yours was a sweet darshan. I liked it.

You liked it too.”

01 Oct 1999, GSP  –  Why we must Meditate in Day-to-Day Life

With many prayers, respect and love I placed a question at Shri Guru’s lotus feet, which was:

‘What is the need to meditate in day-to-day life?’

Flow from the Master:

“The need to meditate in day-to-day life is because the meditation will permeate this life and structure it in a manner that facilitates and promotes sadhna.

“Sadhna has to be the bedrock, the foundation of living. Sadhna has to be the aim and process of all life, not the gathering of personal wealth and power which stays on this realm and only acts as a tool of power to manipulate others.

“The purpose of meditation in day-to-day life is to direct your life to realizable goals, to the retention of great calm and poise, to respect for all other creatures including human beings and towards the growth of universal love.

“The purpose of meditation is to give you strength, character, will power and determination. Meditation will automatically make you a leader. Meditation will prevent you from running down all those around you. Instead, you will build them up and build yourself up. It will give you a long and healthy life, the best life, a life full of joy, laughter, happiness.

“Day to day meditation will make only good things happen to you. It will emerge in your thoughts as the thoughts. It will emerge in your actions as the actions. It will become your whole life.

“It will make you think very high of yourself. It will make you value your life as it is given to you. Without making you greedy it will make you fulfill all that you have to achieve.

“It will make you respected in the community. You will be sought after. It will keep you simple, without fault or blame, humble, truthful and serene. You will glow. You will dance. You will relish life.

“Meditation will make you divine. It will become your greatest asset. There is so much you will achieve in the practical world. There is so much you will achieve in the spiritual world.

“If you meditate most regularly with love, with humility and respect then, I will be waiting for you to make you Mine.

“I, your Guru, will make you one with Me.

New Delhi, 17 Oct 1999

I was contemplating differently. I was holding a chain of thought as a prayer in my mind. I was praying to Baba very entreatingly and asking Baba to enter me. I kept praying, ‘Baba, I cannot achieve or do anything by myself.’ I was praying to Babaji to enter me, again and again, with a complete focus on Baba. For a while there was nothing, I had not sought any response.

Suddenly, out of the silence, Baba spoke to me.

He said, “I have already entered you. Fully and completely, I have entered you. So, there is no entering left to be done.”

‘Yes Baba,’ I responded.

Baba continued, “You should now pray for me to become active in you.”

I again said, ‘Yes, Baba’.

14 Nov 1999, New Delhi  –  a Meditation Experience

Meditation Experience

During meditation I found I had suddenly connected with Shri Guru. I was leaning back and breathing heavily. In that state I found Shri Guru saying:

“I am in you, at the base of the spine. Activate Me. Activate Me by your prayers. Activate Me by your love. I am waiting to be activated.

                          (Yes my Lord)

“Give people Shaktipat. Give them My experience. They need Me.

                          (Yes my Lord)

“Give them Shaktipat here. Give them Shaktipat there.”

The places referred to were understood then, but could not be recalled after the meditation when writing this out.

14 Nov 1999, New Delhi  –  Nasty Thoughts

During a meditation I was experiencing some really nasty thoughts. I decided to contemplate the thoughts and offered a question at the lotus feet of Shri Guru thus: Prayers to Shri Guru followed by the question – ‘Where do such thoughts come from? Are they from You? Are there any truths or basis in the thoughts I have just been having?”

Response as emerged from Shri Guru there:

“Thought bank – you pull out from the collection of all thoughts that which is your disposition to pull out.

“Learn to differentiate between Me, My messages to you, and the thoughts which you access without discipline and without heed.

“And, there is no truth in the thoughts you just had. Baseless. Based on your own predisposition and tendency.  Put them aside”.

29 Nov 1999, New Delhi  –  The Guru’s assurance and watchfulness

During a meditation spent on focusing on troubles, I prayed to Shri Guru praising Her. I queried Her about my financial situation and posting under process.

Response as emerged then from Shri Guru:

“O Virender, your problems are not that immense. Do not worry about them so much. They will keep coming and they will keep going. They are all small little bits of trouble, nothing big.

“I am taking care of the bigger ones.

“About money – you will get by. All you need for your jobs will come by, as you need the funds to come. So, relax.

“In the present instant your posting will be marginally delayed, and then it may be time for you to go. There are tasks ahead, both for yourself and your people. And for Me.

“The money will come, I assure it.

“You go now.”
