28 Jan 2018 – a sweet meditation experience in Gurudev Siddha Peeth
I was meditating among a group of devotees in a hall in GSP. During the meditation I was retaining inner focus on Shri Guru and Her grace and magnificence, and countless great qualities. I was expressing love for the Guru and for the Guru parampara and feeling their love. I tried to visualise Gurumayiji in SMA, going about Her work, and also visualise Her as the Universe.
Suddenly, my inner focus shifted and I was revealed a very beautiful form of Lord Shiva, the Mahadeva, the Deva of Devas. He, along with Devi Parvati, was standing in a place of utmost beauty, with lovely panoramic hills in the background and with Ma Ganga flowing nearby their lotus feet. The revered Devi was standing very slightly behind and to the left of Lord Shiva. They were both appeared to be very very tall, taller than even the hills. Lord Ganesha was also with them, smaller in size than them and playfully frolicking as children do by Himself in a sweet playful mood, on the other side of the Ma Ganga across from Devi Parvati. I was seated cross legged on the ground, looking up at them and at all their beauty and magnificence.
I prayed to them for the wellbeing of the Universe and in particular our planet and humans. I prayed for the protection of Shri Guru and my Guru parampara and gave my assurance that I would serve them fully.
Then, I saw the lotus feet of Lord Shiva, and Shri Ganga ji was flowing nearby. Without pre-thought, I leaned over and started scooping up the divine waters with cupped hands and washing the feet of Lord Shiva. He looked down at me smiling and playfully remarked to me in Hindi,
“Kya, meray hi paani say meray paun dho rahay ho?” [What, are you washing My feet with My very own water?]
And I replied, “Ji, is se aur koi shud paani nahin hai.” (Yes sir, there is no purer water other than this’).
And I smiled up at Him and He smiled at me.
Then, after a bit, the image faded and soon thereafter the beautiful meditation was brought to an end by the gong and hall lights coming on.
And so, with tears of joy, quickly writing it down, I left. |
